Dr. Jeromy Ratzlaff

Dr. Jeromy Ratzlaff grew up in Fresno, California, the son of a high school principal and a school nurse. Playing three sports in high school (football, basketball and baseball), he wanted to focus on a career in sports medicine and rehabilitation. While playing sports in college, Dr. Ratzlaff focused his studies on anatomy and physiology while working closely with the team trainers.

After transferring to the University of Southern California, where he majored in Kinesiology with a focus on Chiropractic studies. While at USC, he worked with top athletes that are now playing in the NFL and major league baseball. He worked closly with the USC athletic trainers and doctors and learned many rehabilitation and strengthening techniques which he uses today.

After graduating from USC, Dr. Ratzlaff attended the Los Angeles College of Chiropractic for his post-graduate degree as a Doctor of Chiropractic. Considered the top chiropractic college in the nation, Dr. Ratzlaff graduated at the top of his class. During his studies, he was chosen from 300 applicants as a treating physician for the California AIDS ride which raises awareness for AIDS [only 3 physicians are chosen per year]. Dr. Ratzlaff also played on the school basketball team and won the gold metal at the Chiropractic Olympics, a yearly event between all Chiropractic schools around the nation.

Upon entering his post-graduate internship, he worked closely with doctors at the Pacifica Hospital in Huntington Beach, California in a multidisciplinary practice that worked in conjunction with medical doctors, chiropractors and neurologists. In helping to run the rehabilitation department, he learned much about post surgical rehabilitation, sports injuries and neurological disorders. Many Chiropractors don’t have the opportunity to work in an environment such as this, so Dr. Ratzlaff was very fortunate to do so.

Upon receiving his license in 2004, Dr. Ratzlaff purchased Saddleback Wellness Center in Mission Viejo, California. Since opening, Dr. Ratzlaff has become a fixture in the community. Dr. Ratzlaff is an active volunteer at both Trabuco Hills High School and Capo Valley High School, where he is the team doctor for both varsity Football Teams. He also donates his services offering physicals at no charge to students. In 2005, Dr. Ratzlaff received the Trabuco Hills “Business Partner” award, given annually to individuals that exude excellence in their field and their service to the school.

Dr. Ratzlaff resides in Mission Viejo, Ca with his wife, Holly.
